Weddings, Embassy and VIP work a speciality

Due to this, Melanesian Tours has invested heavily in this area to ensure it has the capasity to expand the transfer and tour sales for some years into the future.

Premises
Melanesian Tours currently operates from the home base situated alongside Poppys on the Lagoon, below Trade Winds Resort and the Village Apartments at Seaside. It is also an easy walk to Mangoes Resort; Sea Change Lodge and Coconut Palms. The property is so well situated for giving easy access and service to the surrounding resorts that it has been a preferred option by the current owners for its operation. However, with future growth of the business, it should now should be moved to a commercial site. The House /Office can be purchased as part of the Business package, and is a great place to live and work from, with lagoon views and a cool breeze from the trade winds. The operation could be moved to a commercial site with shedding for vehicles and room to expand the business and support services. A model of expansion to a new site has been done and can offer many new opportunities for diversification and growth.
Opportunity to grow further the transfers and establish more tours
There is a continued growth in the resort business. In March 2012, the new Nasama Resort will open for business and Melanesian Tours has been offered the contract for transfers. Mangoes Resort, one of the contracted resorts, is expanding and opening a new resort called The Terraces. There will be an additional 12 two bedroomed units coming on board. A new subdivision has just gone on the market at Eton Beach for 60 Holiday Investment homes to be arranged as a resort complex. Le Lagon is due to start expansion of additional accomodation and it is currently building an 800 seat conference centre which will dramatically increase the size of conference groups coming to Vanuatu.
The business also has additional scope for its own tours. Mid 2011, Melanesian Tours set up two tours and these have already significantly improved the business income. As the reputation of these tours grow, so will the tour sales to the point that they will become a significant part of the total income. There is also plenty of opportunity to develop new tours as the business has no limitation on tours it can operate, as do the other foreign owned businesses in Vanuatu. One tour now operates for the Cruise ship market, whch is greatly increasing in Vanuatu in 2012.

On Line Prescence
The business has a fully operational web site plus 5 other web site addresses that link to the main site. The other 5 sites are held for future development of sites to ensure the site names are reserved for the business. www.melanesiantours.com
The Future
Although currently restricted by slow tourism over the last 2 years, Melanesian Tours has been able to adapt and keep its postion in the market. Through diversifying its transfer market and introducing new tours, the business has been able to show improved bottom line on a reduced income. The future looks good for the business with the signing of new contracts for the next 2 years starting form 1 April 2012. The expansion of Mangoes Resort and the new Nasama Resort in the next few weeks, will even add more work to the business. 2012 also sees the return of Group and Conference transfers for Iririki Resort.
The Vanuatu Tourism Office has also made significant changes to their management which coupled with a significant increase in the tourism budget, will have a noticeable improvement in tourism over the coming years.
The future looks bright and certainly will be busy with just the smallest of growth in tourism. Buying Melanesian Tours now, will allow the new Owners to settle into the business but immediately feel the boost of new contracts and new additional resorts that have been contracted into the Melanesian Tours Services.
