Redwood Lodge Motel is a popular accommodation business, situated in a sunny and sheltered location on the northern rural outskirts of Tokoroa on State Highway one, yet only 1.5 km from the CBD. Tokoroa is a large town, population of approx 13,000 people serving the local farming district and also the local Kinleith pulp and paper mill.

Tokoroa is less than 100 km drive from the major Waikato city of Hamilton, Bay of Plenty tourist city of Tauranga, also Rotorua, Taupo.

The Waikato river with its many hydro lakes and also river trails for hiking and Mountain biking is an eco-tourists paradise.

Redwood Lodge Motel has a diverse clientele, families visiting local relatives, labourers, trades people, contractors for rural and mill work, long haul truck drivers and sales reps, as well as passing national and international tourists.

Redwood Lodge Motel is an eleven unit motel, all units on ground floor, with access to grassed area at the rear of units. A large car park allows plenty of parking for guests and provides for truck and trailer units to turn and park.

3 x studio units sleep 2 persons.

1 x one bedroom unit sleeps 2 persons.

1 x one bedroom unit sleeps 4 persons.

4 x two bedroom units sleep 4 persons.

2 x two bedroom units sleep 5 persons.

All units have full cooking facilities. The two bedroom units also have microwaves.

The studio units and the 4 person one bedroom unit have ensuite style bathrooms.

The laundry (3 x Fisher & Paykel washing machines, 1 x Maytag Dryer) is in the centre of the Motel block which has a diesel fired boiler for the hot water for all the units and laundry in a separate room. This space is very handy for drying towels etc on a wet day if not wishing to use the dryer.

Owner’s Residence

The owner’s residence is a two storey building with 4 bedrooms and a bathroom on the upper storey, there is also an ensuite in one of the bedrooms.

The lower floor has open plan kitchen, dining, lounge, laundry, an ensuite style bathroom, and the Motel office / reception.

Off the dining room at the rear of the residence is a converted garage for storage.
