Joinery and Kitchen Centre Business For Sale
Blenheim New Zealand

Joinery & Kitchen Centre business for private sale by owner - display kitchen in Blenheim shop

If the client can picture it, we can generally make it

The Kitchen Centre is the only dedicated kitchen shop in Blenheim and serves as the retail arm of Park Terrace Joinery.

Park Terrace Joinery specialises in clients wanting more expensive kitchens and is renowned for providing a highly personal service. Each kitchen or benchtop is custom-made using materials that the client has selected. This strata of the market is not well catered for by other kitchen suppliers and is a lucrative focus.

The business also provides hotel, motel and commercial fit-outs. The combination of home and commercial clients means the business always has bookings for at least three month's forward work.

The Kitchen Centre does all of the administration and accounting functions for Park Terrace Joinery. However, the Joinery and the Kitchen Centre are advertised separately as though they are two unrelated businesses, which increases the customer catchment appreciably.

The owners of Park Terrace Joinery & Kitchen Centre have put their successful business on to the market because they wish to semi-retire and go travelling. This combined manufacturing and retail business is being sold on a turnkey basis where the buyer can walk in and carry on using the full complement of machinery and factory tooling. Note that units, doors and benchtops are brought in from specialised suppliers when workloads are heavy. The retail shop would also carry on as per normal with all display kitchens, computers and office equipment left in place.

While a background in retail, building or joinery would be an advantage, the present owners are prepared to provide the incoming owner with up to two months training and supervision. Sale options are flexible and the owners are prepared to leave some money in the business as a debenture (provided there is suitable security).

If you want an established business in one of New Zealand premier wine and tourism locations, consider what Park Terrace Joinery & Kitchen Centre has to offer.

Manuals:

Promotion and Advertising;
The business advertises through building signage, Telecom Yellow Pages with a link to the business’s Web page
www.kitchencentre.co.nz and occasional feature articles in local newspapers. Best promotion comes from word of mouth recommendations from homeowners who proudly show-off their new kitchen to all of their friends.
